John Wilson began his journey at Heartland Health in 1986 as the senior internal auditor before becoming the controller. In 1990, John took on the role of Chief Financial Officer. His previous experience includes work on health-care related clients at public accounting firms.

John is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the American Institute and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor of Science in business with an accounting emphasis from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Mo., with highest honors in 1977. He earned his Master of Health Administration with highest honors from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo., in 1995.
