Vendors wishing to do business with Heartland should begin by contacting Materials Management at 816-271-7933. Heartland's vendors are important because the products and services supplied impact the quality, safety and effectiveness of care delivery and because the procurement of supplier goods and services are a significant component of our costs. We expect our relationships with vendors to be collaborative and mutually beneficial. 

Vendors are expected to follow our Supplier Partner Standard and our Vendor Handbook. Any vendor visiting any Heartland facility must start by visiting Materials Management on the hospital Campus. Subsequently they may register thru RepTracs. All representatives must wear name tags while at any Heartland facility.

Vendors having access to patient health information may be expected to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). Questions relating to BAA's should be directed to our Contracts Department at 816-271-7694. Vendor personnel participating in or witnessing a violation of a patient's privacy are expected to report the violation to the Corporate Compliance Officer at 816-271-7576 or by using our anonymous hotline 800-447-2505.

Heartland has spelled out ethical legal and expected workforce behavior in Setting The Standard, our code of conduct which includes Respect Counts behaviors. Vendor personnel observing behaviors not meeting our standard are expected to report that behavior to the Corporate Compliance Officer at 816-271-7576 or by using our anonymous hotline 800-447-2505.
