Barbie Squires is Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Heartland Health. Barbie and her team drive fundraising efforts to achieve the greatest collective impact to enable the critical work of the organization and community. She will develop strategies to communicate particular needs and special projects of the organization and encourage individuals and corporations to contribute through endowments, trusts, gifts-in-kind, or bequests. As CDO, Barbie will provide executive leadership and oversight for the Center for Healing Generosity’s Auxiliary and Volunteer Ambassador programs.

Barbie began her career at Heartland in 2006 as Team Leader – Center for Healing Generosity. During her time as Team Leader, Barbie received personal and organizational recognition including Ingram’s Heroes in Health-Care 2010, Women of Excellence—Woman in the Workplace nominee 2009, Missouri State Auxiliary of the Year 2009 and Junior League Sustainer of the Year 2007. 

Barbie holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Missouri Western State University. She is currently pursuing her MBA at William Woods University. She is a Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services and a Certified Fund Raising Executive.
